  3. Add almonds, melon seeds and fennel seeds. Grind again. Next add in sugar and 1/2 cup milk and grind for a few minutes till everything is ground into a paste..
  4. Now strain this by adding milk in the strainer. You will need altogether 6-7 cups of milk. But you can make it in batches if you like. For that add 3-4 cups milk and store the residue in a container for next time..
  5. Pour in a jug and add ice cubes. Serve chilled!.

There's no bhang in my recipe but if you drink, you can add a little rum to this if you'd like. So, I've seen enough bollywood films in my day to know that some people drink bhang ki thandai (the kind with marijuana). A traditional summer drink with layers of flavors in every sip.
